Tractor-Trailers Collide On NJ Turnpike (Update)

A pair of tractor-trailers collided in a rear-end crash on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said.

One lane northbound remained blocked on Thursday, July 25 at about 1:45 p.m. north of Interchange 7A in Robbinsville, according to the NJDOT.

Based on a preliminary investigation, a Freightliner tractor was traveling northbound on the New Jersey Turnpike at about 1 p.m.

A Volvo tractor-trailer was parked on the right shoulder of the New Jersey Turnpike. In the area of milepost 63.1, the Freightliner collided with the rear of the Volvo, New Jersey State Police said.

The driver of the Volvo sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, State Police said.

No other injuries were reported. 

The crash remains under investigation, and there is no additional information available at this time.
